Tetris DS is a brand new version of the widely played puzzle game which took the world by storm in the late ‘80s and early ‘90s.
Tetris is easy to pick up but impossible to put down. The idea is simple: rotate and arrange falling blocks to form horizontal lines, which then disappear. The more you play, the faster the blocks fall - requiring quick thinking and fast fingers.
Fondly remembered on the original Game Boy, now Tetris returns on Nintendo’s newest handheld system, Nintendo DS, with lots of new features but the same great gameplay. In fact, it’s even better!
- Each of the six different play modes is themed around a classic Nintendo game such as Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda or Metroid.
- The new Puzzle mode features more than 200 pre-set shapes to clear by slotting in the correct combination of Tetris pieces.
- A special touch screen mode lets you drag and drop blocks using the stylus. With no time limit, you can plan your moves more carefully.
- Up to 10 players can link their Nintendo DS systems wirelessly and compete in Tetris battles, even if only one player has the game.
- See how you stack up against your opponents! Tetris DS features a ranking system based on your battle results.
- Connect wirelessly to Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection and challenge players across the world; either at home or from a public hotspot.
