If you want to improve your educational potential and boost your job prospects, play games! That's according to a study by the Federation of American Scientists (FAS), who discovered that playing educational games helps people improve the skills necessary to compete well in the workplace.
According to the FAS's report, games can teach skills such as strategic thinking, interpretive analysis, problem solving, forming and executing plans, and adapting to rapid change. The Federation explains that these are the skills that American employers increasingly look for in their workers and new people entering the workforce.
