Wii (pronounced like 'we') is Nintendo's new home videogame console that is designed with everyone in mind. By using the wireless, motion-sensitive 'Wii Remote' controller you can play with one hand, simply by making realistic movements or by pointing it at your television screen just as you would with a TV remote.
Swing the Wii Remote like a racket to play a tennis game, point at the screen to select your answer in a quiz game, twist the controller like a steering wheel in a driving game...anything is possible. By removing the complex controls from video gaming, Wii invites everyone to play together, from kids to grandparents!
The Wii console is small enough to blend perfectly into your living room but powerful enough to become the centrepiece of family entertainment. Wii features a number of 'Channels'; each with a different purpose. Use the Forecast Channel to check the weather, the News Channel to see the latest headlines, the Internet Channel to browse the web, the Photo Channel to organise your digital photos…and much more.
There is so much more to find out about Wii that we created a dedicated website with detailed information and videos showing all its possibilites. Please visit www.wii.com to find out more.
